Claire McRae concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate and transactional law, banking and commercial finance, and estate planning and settlement. She has over ten years of experience representing corporations and LLCs in such varied matters as formation, day-to-day operation, contract drafting and negotiation, capital raise transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning. Ms. McRae has represented businesses in equity and asset purchase and sale transactions at eight- and nine-figure valuations.
Ms. McRae also represents institutional lenders in a wide range of commercial lending transactions, including refinances, secured and collateralized loans, and other complex financing arrangements. She works closely with clients to structure, document, and close transactions that align with their strategic and risk management goals.
In her estate planning practice, Ms. McRae represents high net worth individuals and families in estate planning and estate settlement. Her approach emphasizes tax-efficient strategies tailored to complex asset structures and family dynamics. She is experienced in drafting and interpreting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, and regularly advises fiduciaries and beneficiaries in probate and estate administration proceedings across the Capital Region and beyond.
Ms. McRae began her career at Lemery Greisler as a law clerk in 2011 and became a member of the firm in 2023. Prior to graduating law school, Ms. McRae interned with the Albany County District Attorney's Office and the Schenectady County Probation Department. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Saratoga County Bar Association.
