Albany, NY – Lemery Greisler LLC, a highly respected business law firm in the Capital District, recognized for excellence and top rated by Martindale Hubbell, proudly welcomes two new Summer Associates: Daynelis Vargas and Julie Steven.

Ms. Vargas of Bronx, New York graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in International Relations and received a Manzi Fellowship in addition to being recognized as a Colgate OUS Scholar. Ms. Vargas studied abroad in Switzerland as an intern at the International Network of Human Rights and participated in Model United Nations and Model European Union. She attends the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she has received the New York City Bar Association Diversity Fellowship. 

Prior to her position at LG, Ms. Vargas held roles as an intern for Prudential Financial Inc., victims’ advocate for Victims Assistance Services, executive assistant for the Association of Defense Counsel-International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia, and as a bankruptcy paralegal for Weitz and Luxenberg P.C. Notable is Ms. Vargas’ experience writing articles summarizing and analyzing judgments and appeals briefs on cases tried at the International Courts in The Hauge. Ms. Vargas is a member of Practicing Attorneys for Law Students and Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity at Cardozo and is bi-lingual, speaking Spanish as her native language.

Ms. Steven of Allston, Massachusetts, graduated with a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with dual degree in Political Science and Legal Studies and a certificate in International Relations. She received the Luther A. Allen Scholarship for excellence in International Relations and Francophile Studies. Ms. Steven academic excellence was recognized by inclusion in the Dean’s least every semester. Her Honor’s Thesis, “My Body or Yours? Women’s Rights to Bodily Autonomy” was presented at the 222nd Annual Massachusetts Statewide Undergraduate Research Conference. Ms. Steven is currently attending Boston University School of Law on a full-tuition scholarship. Ms. Steven received her Professional Research Certification through LexisNexis. She is involved in the Health Law, Womens’ Law, and the Business Law Associations at BU.  Ms. Steven is is bi-lingual, with French as her native language.
