Bio

Nicholas J. Greisler concentrates his practice in complex loan workouts involving multiple lenders, the development of loan policies, and procedures and forms and general asset-based lending. He has experience with participations and agented transactions involving taxicab medallions, thoroughbred racehorses, and railcars. He also has extensive experience with counseling health care organizations on compliance, physician recruitment, contracts, and other regulatory and corporate issues.

Mr. Greisler’s clients include national and regional banks and credit unions, local hospitals and corporations and regional not-for-profit organizations.

Mr. Greisler is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. He is a member of the Albany County Bar Association, where he served as Director from 1984 to 1986, Secretary in 1987, Treasurer in 1988, Second Vice President in 1989, President-Elect in 1990, and President in 1991. Mr. Greisler is a member of the New York State Bar Association and served as a member of its House of Delegates in 1990, 1991, and 1992. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and is a Fellow in the Albany County Bar Foundation, where he served as President from 1995 to 1997.

Mr. Greisler served as Town Justice for the town of Colonie from 1977 to 2000. He is currently an instructor for the New York State Office of Judicial Administration, and he serves on the Board of Trustees’ Francis Bergen Law Library and Colonie Town Youth Court. Mr. Greisler was named among Upstate New York’s 2007 “Super Lawyers.“
