Prior to beginning her legal career, Lauren Cousineau was a physical therapist and worked in many area hospitals. Ms. Cousineau brings her experience as an allied health professional to her legal representation of hospitals and nursing home facilities, as well as private and individual health care clients in a wide variety of health care matters.
In addition to her work representing clients in health care law, Ms. Cousineau has devoted a large portion of her practice to defending medical facilities, hospitals, physicians, and nurses in medical malpractice litigation, professional misconduct, and professional licensing issues.
Ms. Cousineau is admitted to practice law in New York State and the United States District Court for the Northern, Western, and Southern Districts of New York. She is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association–Health Care Law Section, Albany County Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, American Physical Therapy Association, New York State Physical Therapy Association, New York State Brain Injury Association, Defense Research Institute, and the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association.
